Terms and Conditions

REGISTRATION FORM
A registration form should be completed and sent before a child can be considered for a place.

DEPOSIT
A fee will be charged, per child, on confirmation of a booked place. This fee is deducted from the final nursery care invoice.

PAYMENT OF FEES
Fees are payable within 14 calendar days from the date of invoice. Any invoice query should be resolved within the fourteen day period.
Occasional absences and short holidays other than when the nursery is closed are payable at the full rate if the place is to be held open.

CHANGE TO SESSIONS
One months notice is required if you wish to decrease your child’s sessions or no longer require your child’s place. If insufficient notice is given, a full charge will be made for cancelled sessions. If an increase to your child’s sessions or change of days is required this will be arranged as soon as there is a vacancy (see admissions policy).

SECURITY
Under no circumstances will a child be allowed to leave the nursery with anyone unknown to the nursery staff unless previously arranged by the parent or guardian.

HEALTH RECORDS
The nursery requires parents to complete health records for their child. The nursery will require emergency contact names and medical information regarding allergies, dietary or special requirements. Immunisation is a condition of nursery entrance, unless otherwise stated by the child’s GP. Immunisation records must be updated regularly.

CHILDHOOD ILLNESSES
Any child suffering from sickness and/or diarrhoea, conjunctivitis or any discharge from the eyes, sore throat, heavy cold, dubious rash or who is not well enough to cope with the normal nursery routine, should be kept at home. The nursery should be notified of the nature of the illness and consulted about the child’s return. Parents must inform the nursery any illness, which may prove dangerous to other children.

MEDICINE CONSENT FORM
Parents are required to sign medicine consent form before any medication can be given to a child. The nursery staff cannot administer medication bought over the counter, other than Calpol or teething gel. Calpol will only be administered for a maximum of three days, unless a doctor’s note is produced.

ACCIDENT PROCEDURE
The nursery reserves the right to administer basic First Aid treatment where necessary. Parents will be informed of all accidents and will be required to sign their child’s accident form.
For accidents of a more serious nature involving hospital treatment, every attempt will be made to contact parents, but failing this, the nursery requires consent to act on behalf of the parents and authorise any necessary treatment. Remember to notify the nursery if your child changes GP, develops an allergy or has more immunisation vaccinations. This information will help us in an emergency.

ACCESS TO INFORMATION
All information concerning each child is kept on a personal file. This information is confidential but is open to inspection by parents of the child concerned.

PROPERTY AND BELONGINGS
We recommend that the child wear practical and inexpensive clothing. The nursery cannot be held responsible for loss or damage to children’s property, although every effort will be made by the staff to ensure that the children’s belongings are not lost or damaged.

FOOD
The nursery cannot be held responsible for the condition of food not supplied by ourselves. We will store and heat it according to Environmental Health standards.

NURSERY POLICIES
Copies of all the nursery policies and procedures are available in the nursery entrance hall.
